The fight for 15 is far from radical. It’s woefully inadequate to meet the required $30/hr to afford basic household expenses in Arkansas.
Untitled Poem by Beth Strano
There is no such thing as a “safe space” —
We exist in the real world.
We all carry scars and have caused wounds.
This space
seeks to turn down the volume of the world outside,
and amplify voices that have to fight to be heard elsewhere,
This space will not be perfect.
It will not always be what we wish it to be
But
It will be our space together,
and we will work on it side by side.

We need to shape a narrative around the way the individuals we serve see their communities.
Keesa Smith

There’s too much at stake for only one or two people saying this is what needs to be done. It’s too easy to brush it off. We need a coalition of folks moving forward on a few key issues.
Abby Hughes Holsclaw

We all relied on ALICE to get us through the pandemic and we continue to rely on ALICE every single day. This fact cannot be dismissed.

There are best practices that we can move the needle on in certain localities. But how do we scale that up, with more funds and support, to train and teach more people on those data-proven strategies?
Mario DeColores
Arco Iris Earth Care Project
The projects that are the most successful are the ones that have the most momentum. The ones with the most momentum are the ones that receive continuous funding at different stages, with different levels of technical assistance and capacity building to get over all the walls that emerge.
